Students entering Year 11 in 2010 will be placed into one of three (3) strands:
Students may also choose the TAFE TECH course where they are enrolled at Mountain Creek State High School (MCSHS), however, the course is delivered at Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE (SCIT) at Mooloolaba through a dual process by MCSHS staff and SCIT staff. Students will be required to make application through a formal process and be selected to study TAFE TECH. The placement of students in specific strands is based on their Semester 1 report for Year 10. If a student`s results at the end of Year 10 indicate that he/she is eligible to study in a higher strand, this movement will be adjusted through interview and engotiation with the head of Senior School or Deputy Principal only. Once a student has been allocated to one of the 3 strands, the student should then consider the following when selecting subjects.
